Red Bull X-Fighters 2008 Madrid best trick winner: Dany Torres

The first part of Red Bull X-Fighters 2008 in Madrid is over and Madrid is going crazy as their boy Dany Torres won the best trick competition. The Rules were simple: two rounds, best two of three tricks but one of the two tricks has to be a non backflip. Red Bull X-Fighters ranking session: Mat dominated and Villa surprised

An exciting ranking session for the Red Bull X-Fighters 2008 in Madrid just ended and the big favorite Mat Rebeaud dominated the contest by scoring highest in both runs. This was no surprise but that the Norwegian Spaniard Andre Villa came up close with an unbelievable second run was the great upset of the night. Andre finished in front of local hero Dany Torres. Red Bull X-Fighters 2008, Madrid practice

Hi, this is Bob reporting live for FMXWORLD.com. Today I saw two practices and the good news is: No crash, no injuries – So all 12 world class riders are ready for the biggest FMX show in the world. This year the ranking session for the main competition is part for Thursday nights show. So the riders used the two practice runs today to get used to the track, to warm up for the event tonight and to try out a few things. Stenberg & Dal Farra will not compete @ Red Bull X-Fighters Madrid

Jeremy "Twitch" Stenberg decided yesterday, that he will not ride at the Red Bull X-Fighters in Madrid. The injury, he got from the first stop of the AST Dew Tour in Baltimore is not fully healed up. Twitch got the cast off his hand last Thrusday and did some test riding last weekend, which showed him that his hand is not ready for the big competion at the Plaza del Torros in Madrid.… Continue

5 Min. with Mat Rebeaud

In 2006 Mat Rebeaud came third in Madrid; in 2007 second. And in 2008 he’s the hottest favorite. Following the retirement of Travis Pastrana, who has won Madrid three times, the Swiss national could triumph here for the first time. The 100 points would go down well. In the overall standings he’s only 45 points ahead of Jeremy Stenberg. But the going all out for a win could also mean risking absolute failure.
